After taking the countries quiz, I was able to get 80 out of 197 correct answers. I realized I knew more countries than I thought I did and due to the general area of countries, I feel I have some sort of idea on some traditions or beliefs that they practice.

I understand the surroundings/environment of children, even at a young age, have impacts later on in their development.
I understand the voices and words and the tone they are spoken in has impact on the child's development beginning from those voices heard even while in the womb.

Your ten "I understand" comments are well thought out. You brought up some very interesting points. I especially liked the one "voices and words and the tone they are spoken in has impact on the child's development", it is so true. Many times when my children were very young my husband would get on to me about my tone of voice. I didn't realize that I was speaking harshly or sarcastically to them and when he pointed it out to me I made a conscience effort to change how I responded to them when I was frustrated with either their behavior or the constant questions. I don't like to be talked to in unpleasant tones so why should I be talking to my children in those tones. I have later discovered it is very easy to break a child's spirit by talking to them in harsh tones.
I was not able to name 80 countries and of the 70+ countries I did name I struggled a great deal. Overall the quiz was a fun way to test my knowledge.
